CMUG ∴ Meetings
Visitors are always welcome to CMUG meetings!
- Second Tuesday of each month
- Grace Lutheran Church in Ronnenkamp Hall, Corvallis, Oregon
Our general meeting begins with the Question & Answer session at 7:00 PM. Local experts field questions from the audience pertaining to all things Mac. Our program begins at 7:30 PM.
There may be meetings on an occasional Wednesday or other day, if a special presenter mandates us moving the date, or if a room reservation conflict occurs -- thus, for the latest update and confirmation, visit this website often!
Our meeting format is quite diverse -- from local, home-spun demonstrations about Mac-related topics to formal presentations by industry-leading technology companies (in and out of state), including guest speaker appearances by some of the most well-known figures in the Macintosh world. Guy Kawasaki, Apple Computers first "Evangelist" and an Apple Fellow (now a busy speaker and author), has visited CMUG three times over the years. Robin Williams (author of award-winning Macintosh & design books) has conducted several workshops for CMUG. Danny Goodman (author of HyperCard authoring books) and Craig Hickman (Oregon's own creator of "Kid Pix" software) are examples of others to grace CMUG's stage.
We periodically have raffles at our meetings that include software, help books... even hardware at times (supplied by CMUG's efforts and/or the graciousness of some of our presenters/companies).
Workshops that help/teach a wide range of Mac users are periodically conducted at our meetings, too. These are great large or small group sessions that focus on specific software or tasks for home to business users.
Everyone is Welcome! Hope to see you there!
