Geoff was born and raised in California. In 1986, he moved to New York City to join American Ballet Theatre and pursue a career as a professional ballet dancer. Retiring from the dance world in 1992, Geoff began work on a college degree at New York's Fordham University. He transferred to San Francisco State University in 1994, where he received a BS in statistics in 1997 and a BA in economics in 1998. He has worked at various jobs throughout his college career and after. Utilizing his own experience of transitioning from a career in the arts, Geoff founded a web-based nonprofit company called Artistsforartists.org in 2002 to make the transition process easier for other artists by enabling them to communicate with each other and to share information. Currently he is persuing a career in commercial and art photography.
